About me

Bicycles and airplanes. Water and wine. Vegetables and crisps. Hiking and shopping. Nature and cities. Fair trade and fashion. Chickpeas and chocolate. Living a conscious life while making the most of it. Caring about the environment while not forfeiting all pleasures in life. Living a back-to-nature hippie lifestyle is not for everyone, however if only enough people make little changes to their way of life it can make a huge difference to the world. This blog is about trying to combine environmental consciousness with everything that makes life fun (travel, food, fashion, music, films, etc.) and hoping to inspire others to do the same.

Where I am right now: finishing up my undergraduate degree in Geography & International Relations. Part-time employee of the University of Aberdeen's Climate Change Program; trying to inspire students to think about their transport and travel habits. But also planning to fly across the globe to start a new adventure and a new life from September onwards. A year in South America, but possibly indefinitely, at the moment I am open to anything. No more standard traveling though. Volunteering is the main aim, leaving a longer impression and making a greater impact than just $4 spent on a room and a meal. I've learned enough to know that wanting to help people often ends up helping no-one, but am still idealistic enough to aim to make thee world a better place one step at a time.
